Join the CISV community on Saturday, September 23, for a fun-filled morning of impact in the Bronx!
Here’s what you can expect!
1. Meet in the Bronx at 9am!
We’ll meet at 1315 Olmstead Avenue - in the parking lot of St. Helena’s Church - at 9am. Dan Zauderer, Grassroots Grocery co-founder and former Bronx school teacher, will tell his story. And we’ll get excited for our day of impact!
We’ll work together to unload a truck filled with 10,000+ lbs of unsold produce rescued from the biggest produce market in the US. Fun for folks of all ages!
2. Sort and pack over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce!
3. Make a delivery to a community in need!
At 10:30am (ish!), we’ll part ways and #drivethedifference. You’ll stop at one of 35+ pre-assigned community sites - where you’ll be greeted by a community leader who will distribute your harvest directly to neighbors in need.
