Student Engagement
For students in middle school and high school looking to get involved with their community and make a difference, we have the perfect opportunities for you!
Join the Student Food Recovery Task Force!
Jump on board and be a part of this awesome thing where your actions can make real change in your community. It’s called the Student Food Recovery Task Force.
New York City-wide and beyond, a youth-led movement is building to reduce waste and help neighbors. Students at all grades are forming clubs to tackle food insecurity.
These volunteers rescue quality surplus food from their school cafeterias and elsewhere and deliver it to free community fridges.
Every other month, they come together virtually to learn from other youth leaders. Co-hosted by Grassroots Grocery and FoodRecovery.org, experienced youth and brand-new interested students come together to learn from each other.
